The CSULB Biotechnology Club connects students with the skills, networks, and career pathways they need to succeed in biotechnology and the life sciences.

We run workshops on resume writing, interviewing, public speaking, graduate school applications, and LinkedIn strategy. We bring in professionals from companies like Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, PacBio, and Zymo Research to share their experiences and career advice. We also maintain a growing repository of internship opportunities and publish blog posts covering technical topics and career guidance.

Our Impact
Since our founding, we've identified over 70 internship opportunities, hosted 10 industry speakers, and built a mentor network of biotech professionals and BUILD program alumni. Throughout each semester, we rotate through 5 core workshops that help students prepare for interviews, applications, and professional settings.

How to Participate
Meetings are open to anyone regardless of school affiliation or student status and are offered in person and via Zoom. No experience required. If you have questions, want to get involved in planning, or just want to connect with others interested in biotech, reach out.
